LexiQ keeps your legal team’s positions in one playbook, then proposes tracked changes in Word that match them. Standard positions stay inside the lane. Anything outside it goes to the right person, with the reasoning attached.

One clause.
Four answers.
Same contract. Four experienced lawyers. Four different answers. Not because anyone was wrong — but because the standard wasn’t visible.
“The problem was never the lawyers. It was the missing standard.”
The total aggregate liability shall not exceed twenty-four months’ fees.
The total aggregate liability shall not exceed two hundred fifty thousand dollars.
The total aggregate liability shall not exceed the party’s unlimited exposure.

Watch the contract follow.
Pick a position and LexiQ redlines the tracked changes, labels who has to approve them, and keeps every deviation visible.
One decision. Three visible consequences.

Create your own playbook ↗In no event shall either party be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, arising out of this Agreement.
The total aggregate liability shall not exceed twelve (12) months’ fees.
Supplier’s total aggregate liability to Customer for all claims arising under this Agreement shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months’ fees paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The limitations in this Section 12 shall not apply to liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
Three routes.
One standard.
Legal judgment isn’t automated away. Standard language can be applied, negotiated fallbacks can be approved, and exceptions are escalated to the people who can accept the risk.
Apply what’s approved.
A clause inside the established playbook receives the prepared markup. Counsel remains responsible for the decision.
Know how far you can go.
When the other party refuses the standard, the fallback carries its own limits and approval owner.
Show the real risk.
When language crosses the boundary, LexiQ stops proposing acceptance and makes the decision visible to counsel.

in plain terms.
In a fictional preview, these are design principles—not verified service commitments.
| 2.1 | Playbook | Draft positions and human reviewers are shown with an explicit version history. |
| 2.2 | Documents | Source documents and revisions need deliberate retention and permission policies. |
| 2.3 | AI assistance | Reviewable proposals are distinguished from human authorization and final legal decisions. |
| 2.4 | Security | No certifications, privilege guarantees or performance claims are asserted for this fictional concept. |

Start with the clause your team debates most. Record the standard, the fallback and who has authority to agree. It is a small demonstration of the thinking behind the theme—not a legal service.
